2. Which of your data do we process? And for what purposes?

We process the data you have sent us in connection with your application in order to check your suitability for the position (or other open positions in our companies, if applicable) and to carry out the application process. Neither profiling nor automated decision-making within the meaning of Art. 22 (1) DSGVO takes place in this context.

3. On what legal basis is this based?

The primary legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is Section 26 of the BDSG. According to this, the processing of data required in connection with the decision on the establishment of an employment relationship is permissible. Should the data be required for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, data processing may take place on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 DSGVO, in particular to safeguard legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO. Our interest then consists in the assertion or defense of claims.

4. How long is the data stored?

Applicants’ data is deleted after 6 months in the event of rejection. If you are awarded a position during the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our personnel administration or personnel information system.

5. To which recipients is the data passed on?

We may use specialized software for the application process. In connection with the maintenance and servicing of the systems, corresponding service providers may also receive knowledge of your personal data. We have concluded a so-called order processing agreement with these service providers, which ensures that the data processing is carried out in a permissible manner. Your application data will be reviewed by the HR department after receipt of your application. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the personnel or department managers for the respective open position. The further procedure is then coordinated. Within the company, only those persons who need to access your data for the proper conduct of our application process have access to it. Likewise, in connection with co-determination within the company, data may be passed on to the works council to the extent required by law.

6. Where is the data processed?

The data is processed exclusively at our site and, if necessary, in data centers within the Federal Republic of Germany.

7. Your data subject rights

In accordance with Art. 15 DSGVO, you have the right to information about the personal data concerning you. You can contact us at any time for information, for further information and to obtain a copy of the data. In the case of a request for information that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may have to request proof of identity from you in order to ensure your legitimacy. Furthermore, according to Art. 16 DSGVO, you have a right to correction and completion or, according to Art. 17 DSGVO, to deletion of your personal data. Likewise, you have a right to restriction of processing in accordance with Art. 18 DSGVO – to the extent granted by law in each case. Likewise, you have a right to data portability according to Art. 20 DSGVO, i.e. to receive the data provided to us and to request its transfer to another responsible party. Finally, you have the right to object to processing within the scope of the law.

8. Reference to further rights

If personal data is processed by you on the basis of consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) a) DSGVO, you have the right to revoke your consent pursuant to Art. 7 (3) DSGVO at any time with effect for the future. Furthermore, according to Art. 21 (1) DSGVO, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on the basis of a balance of interests as defined in Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO. Art. 6 para. 1 f) DSGVO for reasons arising from your personal situation. To exercise your right of objection, it is sufficient to send an informal message to the contact details mentioned under point 1, stating the data processing against which the objection is directed.

10. Obligation to provide the data
